Welcome Message

Dear Colleague,

Welcome to the web site for the upcoming International Conference «Molecular mechanisms of intracellular calcium signalling» in Kyiv, organized by Bogomoletz Institute of Physiology, Ukraine

This event coincides with Jubilee of Prof. Platon Kostyuk. On behalf of prof. Kostyuk we would like to invite you to participate in this Meeting.

Understanding the molecular mechanisms of calcium signalling pathways is of key importance for cell biology. It is also important for biomedical research as the pathologies concerning with intracellular calcium  homeostasis lead to diseases of many kinds, in particular brain and muscular ones can be considered as the calcium signal transduction diseas. The aim of the meeting is to bring together leaders of the field, young newly established group leaders and students. We aim to show important new developments in well established and new pathways. We also want to present and discuss systemic approaches to understand calcium signalling networks and how they get out of control. There will be extensive poster sessions and oral presentations selected from the posters.

You will meet leading experts and scientific celebrities and are leaders in the field.

Kiev is the capital of Ukraine with population of about 3 million citizens. It is situated on the Dnepr River and boasts architectural monuments that are recognized world treasures. Kiev is the largest cultural, scientific and industrial center of Ukraine, the place of religious pilgrimage and a very attractive tourist destination. Its beautiful landscapes, parks and gardens charm and captivate. Hospitable Ukrainians will be delighted to introduce Slavic culture to their foreign guests. We are sure the city, once capital of medieval kings, will provide a pleasant and inspiring background for our scientific meeting.

We are looking forward to meeting you there and will be glad to welcome you to the conference.
